System security responsibilities require Users to implement appropriate account security measures, including strong authentication credentials, regular security updates, and vigilant monitoring for unauthorised access or suspicious activity. Users must understand that their account security affects not only their own App experience but also the security of other Users and App systems generally.

Prohibited System Activities: The prohibition against unauthorized access, system manipulation, and malicious activities encompasses both direct attacks on App infrastructure and indirect activities that could compromise system integrity or User security. Users must avoid activities that could overload system resources, exploit system vulnerabilities, or interfere with other Users’ access to App services.

Software and System Modification Restrictions: Software and system modification restrictions protect App integrity while ensuring that all Users have access to intended functionality and security protections. Users must avoid attempts to reverse engineer App software, circumvent security measures, or modify App functionality in unauthorised ways, understanding that such activities may violate both App policies and applicable computer crime laws.

REPORTING, INVESTIGATION AND ENFORCEMENT PROTOCOLS

User Reporting Obligations: The effectiveness of App standards depends fundamentally on comprehensive reporting mechanisms, thorough investigation procedures, and appropriate enforcement actions that protect the App community while respecting Users’ rights and interests. These protocols balance the need for community protection with principles of due process and proportionate response to violations.

Reporting obligations require Users to notify appropriate App authorities of suspected violations, safety concerns, and potentially illegal activities encountered within the App environment. Users must understand that reporting responsibilities extend beyond direct harm to themselves to encompass protection of the broader App community, particularly vulnerable populations and those who may be unable to protect themselves effectively.

Reporting Process and Standards: The reporting process requires Users to provide accurate, detailed information about suspected violations while respecting the privacy and dignity of all involved parties. False or malicious reporting undermines the effectiveness of safety systems and may itself constitute a violation of App standards, requiring Users to exercise good faith and appropriate care in making reports.

Investigation Procedures: Investigation procedures balance the need for thorough fact-finding with respect for Users’ privacy and procedural rights. Users subject to investigation must cooperate appropriately with App inquiries while understanding their rights and the scope of investigative activities. The investigation process may require temporary restrictions on account functionality to protect the App community while maintaining appropriate protections for Users’ interests.

Enforcement Actions and Consequences: Enforcement actions range from educational interventions and warnings for minor violations to account suspension or termination for serious breaches of App standards or legal requirements. Users must understand that enforcement decisions consider not only the specific violation but also patterns of behaviour, impact on other Users, and the broader App community’s safety and well-being.

Appeals and Review Process: Appeals and review processes provide appropriate mechanisms for Users to challenge enforcement actions while maintaining the integrity of App safety systems.
